Update February 2021
Further to government guidelines, Temple Seal Trips are planning on running boat trips to see the seals from April 12th 21. We will be following all social distancing rules as before, with the introduction of two families permitted to join together as a group.
We will be asking all our customers to drive straight to the quay and find us in the white campervan that we have situated there as our temporary office. We will be issuing tickets from there (card or cash) and then directing everyone to the boats. Please ensure all tickets have been picked up 30 minutes in advance of the departure time. The reasons for this are as follows;
1 Unfortunately some people have not turned up for pre-booked tickets. Therefore, any tickets that have not been picked up may well be sold to anyone who is on our waiting list. If anyone is running late please contact us to let us know so we can do our best at saving your tickets if we can.
2. Due to wind and tide being variable to expectation it is possible that the boats have to leave earlier than advertised time, so it is imperative we see our customers 30 minutes before departure time, in case we have had to alter the timetable to ensure we can get you back home!
We will be continuing with our limited numbers on the boats so we can adhere to the social distancing rules, and we will be asking all customers to help themselves onto and off the boat. Anyone with reduced ability will be asked to come on the trip at a time when we are better able to assist.
We will be sanitising the boats between trips and will be asking everyone to bring their own hand sanitizer and face masks (to be worn especially when social distancing may well be compromised).
We will be unable to land anyone on Blakeney Point for this year. Using the landing stages on the point requires assistance from the staff, and so during these covid 19 times we are choosing to avoid the intense contact landing would create and prefer to focus on keeping everyone as safe as possible.
Toilets and car park on Morston quay will be open.
Temple Seal Trips would like to thank all our customers in advance with their assistance, and hope that we can all manage to enjoy a fabulous summer on the water, with many more changes along the way as Boris continues to reduce restrictions, if we manage to fight this challenging virus. We will be re-opening our office in the Anchor Pub when government guidelines approve indoor entertaining and providing that we can manage it in a suitable way to keep all staff and customers safe.
Thank you
Team Temple
